HISTORY OF SERENDIPITY
Family-owned and operated since 1994, Serendipity School is a private school located on two nearby campuses, serving preschool and elementary school students. The school’s Founders, Sandy and Eben Carr, originally established Serendipity School to serve preschoolers in an environment dedicated to providing nurturing care and a progressive educational approach that supports active and engaged learning, the development of the whole-child, and the academic and developmental evolution of each child, as an individual. Drawing upon their more than 60 years combined experience in private education, Sandy and Eben have personally operated Serendipity School during its multi-year history, during which time the school has grown into two spacious campuses which provide a full-time preschool and a fully-accredited Kindergarten and Elementary program.
In 2002, Meaghan Carr, daughter of the Founders, became Head of School for the Kindergarten and Elementary program. Meaghan represents the third generation of the Carr family involved in private education and the continuation of the family’s legacy of encouraging, engaging, and empowering students through the journey of learning.
