Reflecting on a Joyful Year & Looking Ahead to 2026

As we come to the close of the calendar year and prepare for Winter Break, we are filled with gratitude for the learning, growth, and sense of community that have shaped our months together. It is a joy to pause and reflect on the many moments, both big and small, that make Serendipity such a special place.

The artwork featured here was created by our First Grade students in their art classes as part of an exploration of identity. Through the theme “Home, and Other Special Places,” students reflected on how the places they love help shape who they are. Their drawings capture not only houses and familiar spaces, but also feelings of belonging, comfort, and connection. These ideals live at the heart of our work across both campuses.

Throughout the year, our Preschool classrooms have been vibrant spaces of growth, joy, and belonging. Our youngest learners have developed confidence and independence, arriving each morning with enthusiasm and a readiness for the day’s adventures. Children have built meaningful relationships while exploring familiar seasonal themes such as fall, apples, pumpkins, and harvest celebrations. They also engaged deeply in a rich farm study, learning about animals, crops, and the important work of farmers. More recently, classrooms have been filled with explorations of one another’s traditions and diverse winter celebrations, making December both festive and deeply meaningful. Special guests and field trips further extended learning, with family involvement enriching these shared experiences and lasting memories.

Our Elementary community has also come together to celebrate learning through discovery and shared experiences. Art Night invited students to see themselves as artists and storytellers, proudly sharing their creative processes and ideas with family and friends. STEAM Expo highlighted curiosity, problem-solving, and collaboration, as students showcased thematic units that brought science, engineering, and creativity to life in joyful and engaging ways. The Humanae identity project offered a powerful opportunity for reflection and dialogue, encouraging students to explore who they are, how they see themselves, and how we honor individuality and belonging within our community. And our beloved Fall Fair brought both campuses together for an unforgettable day filled with exploration, creativity, laughter, and shared tradition, reminding us that school is not only a place of learning, but also a place of joy, connection, and celebration.

These memories, which take place across ages and stages, tell the story of a school grounded in curiosity, creativity, and care. Thank you for the partnership, trust, and warmth you bring to our community. We are deeply grateful to share this journey with you and your children.

Wishing you and your family a peaceful, joyful holiday season. We look forward to welcoming everyone back in the new year.

With warmest wishes,
The Serendipity School Team
