Welcome Back to School, Serendipity Preschool!
Welcome Back to School, Serendipity Preschool!
Laurie Crevice
As we begin our 33rd year in early childhood education, I find myself reflecting on just how special that milestone is. Some of Serendipity’s very first students have now graduated from college and are beginning their careers. Some may even be married or starting families of their own.

It is incredible to think about the many children and families who have been part of the Serendipity community over the past 33 years. Each year brings a new group of children, new friendships, new discoveries, and new memories and we are so grateful to continue being a part of these important early years in children’s lives.
We are excited to begin another wonderful year together and look forward to all that the 2026–2027 school year will bring!
Whether you are a returning family or joining the Serendipity community for the first time, we are so excited to be a part of your child’s school journey! We are grateful to have you as part of our community and look forward to getting to know each of you throughout the year.

The beginning of a new school year is a wonderful time to build connections, and we have many community activities planned to help foster the “small community feel” that is such an important part of who we are at Serendipity. We hope these opportunities will give families a chance to connect, build friendships, and feel truly at home within our school community.
Each year, we begin the school year with a unifying theme that provides a shared thread of exploration across all of our classrooms. This year, we will be exploring Feelings, Friends & Family as we navigate the first month of school together. Through stories, conversations, art, play, and hands-on experiences, the children will have opportunities to explore emotions, build relationships, and discover what makes each of us unique.
And be sure to keep your eyes peeled for a “creative display of feelings” at our Back-to-School Picnic! We can’t wait to share what the children have been exploring with you.

We are excited to begin a new Young Artists at Work wall in the entryway of the upper building this year. Each week, or every two weeks, we will highlight a student from each class. At some point during the school year, each child will have the opportunity to share a special piece of artwork with our Serendipity community. This is a wonderful way to honor each child as an artist and help our students feel proud of their work as it becomes part of our shared school environment.
At Serendipity, we have always believed that a child’s journey is a partnership. It is a journey we take together. Working closely with you to ensure that your child feels happy, safe, supported, and excited to come to school each day.
We are here for you not only as you navigate these first few weeks of school, but throughout your child’s entire journey at Serendipity. We value open communication, trust, and connection, and we want you to know that our doors are always open and we are always here for you.
We are so grateful to share this journey with your family and look forward to a wonderful year together!
